Signing of the Pre-Commitment Agreement for the Supply of Centrifugal Compressors for the Bahia Blanca Plant Expansion Project
Hitachi Industrial Products, Ltd. has signed a Pre-Commitment Agreement with Compañía MEGA S.A. ("MEGA"), a leading energy company in Argentine Republic, for the supply of centrifugal compressors.
We have continuously supplied centrifugal compressors to MEGA since 1999. The performance of our compressors has been highly evaluated, and our long-term good relationship has led us to enter into this agreement.
Under this agreement, based on the continued strong and trusted relationship between the parties, both Companies confirm their collaboration with respect to the supply of the boil-off gas compressors required for MEGA's ongoing expansion project*, for the purpose of facilitating the smooth execution of the project.
MEGA's Bahia Blanca Plant is Argentina's largest natural gas liquids (NGL) fractionation facility, located in the petrochemical hub of Bahía Blanca, Buenos Aires. It plays a vital role in the midstream sector (transportation and processing) for the fractionation of unrefined liquid components from the Neuquén Basin, where the huge shale gas and oil play Vaca Muerta is located.
Our centrifugal compressors will be a key part of this major investment project and will contribute to further increasing MEGA's processing capacity.
Through the execution of this agreement, we will further strengthen our presence in the Argentine and South American market and expand our business into the growing oil & natural gas plant market.
